Breadcrumb #170

October 07, 2016 by Bob Raymonda

RILEY COFFEY

yes, my restless
counterpart soul
I hear cries of heated sleep

just last night
I tried to sleep in cold
pulling my world
tightly around my head

then I woke
in a sweat
thinking someone else
had my name

overheated
under-joyed, stirring

standing the window
overlooking an abandoned
nighttime neighborhood.
